    MANILA (PBA Commissioner’s Cup) - Smart Gilas had the hot hand from behind the arc as they carved out a surprisingly facile 109-68 win over All Philippine Cup runners-up San Miguel Beermen for their fourth successive win.

    Smart Gilas, who are using their PBA stint to prepare for the 26th FIBA Asia Championship, are tied with Rain or Shine with both teams having won all four of their games.

    Marcio Lassiter (pictured) and Chris Lutz knocked down four three-pointers each to lead a 16 of 32 shooting display from long range, the most successful outside shooting display in the conference so far.

    Lassiter finished with 16 points and Lutz added 14.

    American Marcus Douthit had another strong showing down low, sharing top-scoring honours with 17 points to go along with 16 rebounds.

    Dylan Ababou and Mark Barocca led all scorers with 17 points each, the former converting three of his four long bombs and Barocca making both of his.

    David Young paced San Miguel with 15 points.
