    MEXICO CITY (Mexico) – Just one day into the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Mexico, and we can already see who could potentially advance to the Semi-Finals. Here's a look at the situation ahead of the action on Game Day 2.

    GROUP A

    In this group, the situation is clear: If CZE beat KOR and if VEN beat MLI, then:

    • Czechia and Venezuela are qualified for the Semi-Finals

    • Korea and Mali are now eliminated from contention

    GROUP B

    Group B will play on August 21. This is the situation: If MNE beat MOZ and if MEX beat NZL, then:

    • Montenegro and Mexico are qualified for the Semi-Finals

    • Mozambique and New Zealand are now eliminated from contention
