PANAMA CITY (Centrobasket) - Panama and Virgin Islands will contest the Centrobasket tournament final on Saturday night after beating Mexico and Puerto Rico respectively in the semi-final stages.

Hosts Panama defeated Mexico 81-66 - with Michael Hicks top-scoring with 20 points - while surprise package Virgin Islands clinched a narrow 85-84 over Puerto Rico win thanks to Jason Edwin`s last-gasp three-pointer.

Unbeaten Panama will now be hoping to win a fourth Centrobasket crown while Mexico and Puerto Rico - who have already booked their places in next year's FIBA Americas Championship - will play each other for the bronze medal.

The Dominican Republic will face Cuba to decide fifth place overall with Jamaica and Costa Rica battling it out for seventh and eighth place.
