    PAN - Daley the Harlem globetrotter to play in Japan

    PANAMA CITY (FIBA World Championship) - A Harlem Globetrotter could be set to grace the FIBA World Championship after Panama revealed Kevin Daley has agreed to join their squad. If selected, Daley will reprise the role he played in the 2004 Centrobasket tournament when international basketball`s showpiece event tips off in Japan.

    PANAMA CITY (FIBA World Championship) - A Harlem Globetrotter could be set to grace the FIBA World Championship after Panama revealed Kevin Daley has agreed to join their squad.

    If selected, Daley will reprise the role he played in the 2004 Centrobasket tournament when international basketball`s showpiece event tips off in Japan in two-and-a-half weeks' time.

    Panama general manager Guillermo Nurse told Critica newspaper: “The player is ready and hopeful of beginning training with the team.”

    Nurse added that Daley has already received the Globetrotters’ permission to take part and the Panamanian Basketball Federation (FePaBa) board will meet on Wednesday to discuss this possibility.
