    Canada v Senegal

This is the very first meeting between Canada and Senegal at the world level since 1998. In terms of their FIBA World Ranking, these two teams aren’t that far apart — Canada is 26th and Senegal is 31st — but there is a clear gap in their current talent levels. The Senegalese need to tighten up their defense and make their outside shots to stand a chance against the deep and well-balanced Canadian quintet.

    Philippines v New Zealand

These two teams have never played each other before at this level, and this game may well determine who will join France in the Semi-Finals. Both teams are evenly matched in terms of size, although there aren’t any big men on New Zealand’s roster nearly as versatile as Andray Blatche of hosts Philippines. The Filipinos presented France with a stiff challenge, and they will certainly count on more “puso” as they try to punch their first win of the OQT.
