GRAZ (Austria) – Fans willing to watch the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament on May 26-30 from the one-of-a-kind “Thunderdome” will have to enter a ticket lottery.

GRAZ (Austria) – Fans willing to watch the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament on May 26-30 from the one-of-a-kind “Thunderdome” will have to enter a ticket lottery.

The location of the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying was always meant to be special considering the event will be held on Graz’ picture-perfect Main Square. It will now also include a unique outdoor arena named “The Thunderdome” with exclusive lodges for groups of 8 fans to conciliate the intimate setting concept of 3x3 and all the necessary safety protocols.

The exclusive lodges ensure that groups of fans are not mixed. Even drinks and snacks can be ordered via smartphone and consumed without additional movement at the assigned seat.

With the demand for tickets skyrocketing and the number of seats very limited, FIBA and Basketball Austria agreed on a lottery concept to offer every 3x3 fan the same chances of experiencing the event live on site.

The lottery started on April 11 at 8am CET on the official website of the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifier with the tickets for the two daily sessions of the opening day (May 26) available. Every Sunday, tickets for a new event day will be made available. At the end of the countdown, all participants will be informed of the result of the draw.
