VIENNA (Austria) - A slew of Paris Olympians will return to the half-court as they bid for continental supremacy at the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2024 on August 22-25.

After an unforgettable 3x3 competition lit up La Concorde, there isn't much time to rest because the ninth edition of Europe's biggest event is about to get underway in Vienna.

Europe showcased their domination of 3x3 with five of the six medal-winning countries. Nine countries in the men's and women's draws in Vienna competed at Paris 2024.

There are seven men's and seven women's Paris Olympians competing in Vienna.

A number of heroes are looking to win more silverware with men's gold medalist Netherlands boasting MVP Worthy de Jong, sniper Arvin Slagter and big man Jan Driessen.

While silver medalist France have freshened up their squad after a physically and mentally draining period, scoring machine Evaldas Dziaugys will return after helping Lithuania clinch bronze on their Olympic return.

Other Olympians will be out for revenge. None more so than superstar Strahinja Stojacic and Marko Brankovic, who underperformed as Serbia were shockingly bounced out at the play-in.

But Serbia have a stranglehold of the Europe Cup having won a crazy five titles in a row since 2018.

    ...

Young gun Zigmars Raimo fronts up for Latvia, who made the semis at the Paris Games after powering through the pool phase undefeated. Legendary Edgars Krumins returns having won gold for Latvia at the Tokyo Olympics.

Olympic women's gold medalist Germany will be led by young superstar Elisa Mevius, who will take the reins as she continues to showcase her mesmerizing skills.

Germany edged Spain in a thrilling final in what was revenge after losing a classic final at the Europe Cup 2021

    ...

Spain boast dynamic duo Gracia Alonso De Armino and Juana Camilion, who starred in Paris and now aim to lift their country one step better than last year's runner-up effort.

It will be a clash of Olympians in pool play when Spain play Azerbaijan, who feature Marcedes Walker, Dina Ulyanova and Alexandra Mollenhauer. The trio shone in Azerbaijan's Olympic debut, where they only narrowly missed the play-in.

Last but not least is three-time champion France, who struggled under the bright Olympic lights.

Marie-Eve Paget did show off her wizardry to light up La Concorde and she'll hope to help France return to their customary winning ways at an event they've long dominated.
