CHRISTCHURCH (WNBL) - Basketball New Zealand chief executive Bryn McGoldrick has resigned.
Christchurch-based McGoldrick quit the role after just 12 months, citing his Canterbury to Wellington commute as a major factor in his decision.
BBNZ president Barbara Wheadon said McGoldrick has been offered a project manager role with the new Christchurch Sirens WNBL franchise.
“This new opportunity in Christchurch better suits Bryn’s family circumstances and he has decided to take up the challenge,” Wheadon said.
“He will play a leading role in establishing the working relationship between the partners, Basketball New Zealand and Canterbury Basketball.”
