NZL - Harbour still unbowed

AUCKLAND (NBL) - Centre Tim Behrendorff led Appliance Shed Harbour Heat to a 104-73 home win over Inspire Net Manawatu Jets to keep alive their unbeaten start to the Dominion Finance NBL.

The Heat were never challenged, running out to a 30-19 by the end of the opening quarter and stretching their advantage to 24 points at halftime. While the visitors hung tough in the third term, the rout was on again over the closing 10 minutes, even as Harbour ran their bench.

Aussie Behrendorff logged just 21 minutes, but scored 20 points (9/12 FG, 2/3 FT), leading five other team-mates into double figures. American Brandon Payton provided the only real resistance from Manawatu with 26 points (7/16 FG, 3/6 3pt, 9/11 FT).

Harbour (4-0) now prepare for the Battle of the Bridge against Youthtown Auckland Stars next Saturday, while Manawatu (1-3) host Blue Chip Nelson Giants the same night.
