AUCKLAND (FIBA World Championship) - New Zealand coach Tab Baldwin is looking forward to this week's training camp in Dunedin to polish off his team's preparations for the FIBA World Championship.

Baldwin will finalise his squad to fly to Japan after the workouts on the South Island and two-game series against Qatar.

He told TV One: "What we'll be doing down in Dunedin is we'll be adding some new defensive elements, entirely different defensive elements so we can not just switch within a defensive possession but from one possession to the next we can change our defence itself.

"This camp that we'll have down in Dunedin along with the two games with Qatar is actually an extremely important camp because it's the last time we're putting in new things that nobody will see.

"It's a very important that we have a few aces up our sleeve."

Baldwin is still waiting on the fitness of point guard Mark Dickel but captain and power forward Pero Cameron has shaken off the virus that hampered him in South America.
