    Nicaragua, Venezuela to host FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers

    Managua and Isla Margarita will host the two groups in November 2026.

    MIAMI (United States) – Nicaragua and Venezuela have been designated as hosts of the two groups of the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers, which will take place from November 26-29, 2026.

    Group A will be played at the Polideportivo Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua, where four national teams will compete from November 27-29. Each team will play once against the other three, with the top two advancing to the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Qualifiers, which will begin in November 2027.

    Meanwhile, Group B will be played at the Gimnasio Ciudad de La Asuncion in Isla Margarita, Venezuela, from November 26-28 following the same format.

    At the end of the competition, four teams will qualify, two from each group. The national teams set to participate will be announced soon.
