New Tech Universite withdraw from the 2026 Road to BAL West Division Elite 16

    The Central African Republic representative failed to travel to Praia for a chance to try and qualify for the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) season.

    PRAIA (Cape Verde) - FIBA Africa confirmed on Tuesday, November 11 that New Tech Université Club had withdrawn from the 2026 Road to the Basketball Africa League (BAL) West Division Elite 16 tournament in Praia, Cape Verde.

    This decision was made after the club from the Central African Republic was unable to travel to Praia, where they had been drawn in Group B of the qualifying tournament.

    Group B is now set to resume with three teams: Al Ahly Benghazi (Libya), Moanda BB (Gabon), and Spintex Knights (Ghana).
