CHENGDU, (China) - The Netherlands made a statement to tip off their 2025 campaign, capping a perfect 5-0 tournament run with a commanding 21-10 victory over Australia in the FIBA 3x3 Chengdu Women’s Series 2025 Final.
The top-ranked Dutch squad left no doubt about their supremacy, winning every game by an average margin of 11.6 points. The Final was filled with physicality, but still followed the same script, with Ilse Kuijt and Janis Boonstra leading the charge with 8 points apiece, while tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) Noortje Driessen orchestrated another impressive performance.
Australia, who had shown resilience throughout the tournament, simply had no answer for the Netherlands’ composed offensive execution. The Dutch leveraged Australia's early foul trouble, hitting 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. Once they found their rhythm, Netherlands consistently broke down Australia’s defense with crisp ball movement and clinical finishing.

As Women's Series MVP, Driessen showcased her prowess throughout the event. She led the entire field in scoring with 32 points, 12 assists, 22 highlights and Player Value (44.3).
