NCA - 2009 Olympic Solidarity Coaching Clinic reports

NICARAGUA (Olympic Solidarity Technical course for coaches) - The Technical course for coaches was held in Managua, Nicaragua from 2 to 6 October, 2009.

M. Nelson Isley was the nominated expert to run this Level III course attended by a young group of 31 coaches and 5 observers. The American University of Managua hosted both the theoretical and practical sessions and the men's senior team of its Science & Technology Institute helped to demonstrate the drills proposed by the expert. Twenty-eight coaches passed the final examination on the last day of the course.

M. Yuri Cisne, General Manager of Federacion Nicaragüense de Baloncesto (FENIBAL), was fully devoted and did a great job to ensure that the clinic was a complete success. A local TV dedicated a whole hour to the course and to FIBA activities, which raised a lot of interest from sports' people in Managua.
