    NEW YORK (NBA) - Caron Butler scored 29 points and Antawn Jamison added 28 to lead the Washington Wizards to a 101-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

    Roger Mason Jr. netted 15 points and DeShawn Stevenson also chipped in with 11 for the Wizards.

    The night started with the retirement of the number 10 jersey worn by former Baltimore Bullets guard Earl "The Pearl" Monroe.

    Monroe was joined on the court at half-time by former Bullets Stan McKenzie, Mike Davis, Mike Riordan, Archie Clark, Kevin Loughery, Phil Chenier, Wes Unseld and Ernie Grunfeld.

    Tayshaun Prince scored 20 points as the Detroit Pistons condemned the Milwaukee Bucks to their fourth straight loss with a 117-91 triumph.

    Chauncey Billups finished with 18 points and Rasheed Wallace added 15 for the Pistons, who seized a lead at the three-minute mark in the first quarter and never relinquished their advantage.

    Peja Stojakovic sent the game into overtime with a three-pointer and Chris Paul capped another outstanding display with a jumper late in the extra session as the
    New Orleans Hornets defeated the Dallas Mavericks 112-106.

    Kevin Martin came on strong in the second half to finish with 26 points, and Ron Artest also scored 26 to help the Sacramento Kings claim a 107-99 victory over the Houston Rockets

    Ben Gordon recorded a season's best haul of 34 points as the Chicago Bulls posted a 111-95 victory over the struggling Charlotte Bobcats.

    Vince Carter came off the bench to score 24 points and the new Jersey Nets overcame a big deficit to post a 94-92 overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

    And Rudy Gay scored 21 points to lead six Grizzlies in double figures as Memphis earned a fourth victory in their last seven games with a 109-80 rout of the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves.
