NBA – Warriors can’t stop Yao as Houston win at home

The China national team star powered his way to 36 points and 19 rebounds to lead his team to a 111-107 triumph, a result that improved Houston’s record to 25-20 on the campaign.

The China national team star powered his way to 36 points and 19 rebounds to lead his team to a 111-107 triumph, a result that improved Houston’s record to 25-20 on the campaign.
Luis Scola of Argentina played 25 minutes and had 10 points for the Rockets while Golden State’s Latvia star Andris Biedrins scored 14 and pulled down 12 boards in defeat.
The Warriors are now 27-19.
The Washington Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors 108-104, and their Team USA forward at the 2006 FIBA World Championship Antawn Jamison was outstanding.
He finished with 24 points and 20 rebounds, while Jose Calderon of Spain continued to play like an all star for Toronto, scoring 23 and dishing out 13 assists.
The Seattle Supersonics handed the defending champions San Antonio Spurs their third successive defeat, beating them 88-85 in the state of Washington.
The Sonics’ top draft pick, Kevin Durant, had 26 points.
In other games, the Detroit Pistons prevailed 110-104 at the Indiana Pacers, New Jersey won at home 87-80 over the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics humiliated the Miami Heat in south Florida, 117-87.
The Chicago Bulls won in the windy city over Minnesota, 96-85, Phoenix rolled to a 125-92 victory in the desert over Atlanta and the Lakers won in Los Angeles over the New York Knicks, 120-109.
