NEW YORK (NBA) - Brandon Roy sparked a third-quarter onslaught as the Portland Trail Blazers extended their winning streak to 11 games with an 89-79 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Christmas night. Reserve Jarrett Jack scored 17 points and Joel Przybilla added 16 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won eight straight at home.

Reserve Jarrett Jack scored 17 points and Joel Przybilla added 16 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won eight straight at home.
Roy helped Portland to extend a 54-50 third-quarter lead to a 16-point edge in a 2:41 spell. Przybilla started the spurt with a lay-up, Roy scored five points in the run and followed a shot from the arc by Steve Blake with one of his own to cap a 12-0 run.
The Sonics pulled within 74-68 early in the fourth, but Channing Frye hit two jumpers and James Jones capped the 9-0 run with a 3-pointer from the right corner off Roy's penetration to provide an 83-68 lead with 5:49 remaining.
Roy finished with 17 points, seven assists and six rebounds. He entered averaging 22 points and seven assists during the Blazers' run.
In Cleveland, LeBron James scored 25 points and added 12 assists to lead the Cavaliers to a 96-82 victory over the woeful Miami Heat.
Drew Gooden added 18 points and Daniel Gibson scored 16 off the bench for the Cavaliers, who had lost 10 of 13 including a 105-96 decision to Golden State on Sunday.
Dwyane Wade scored 22 points for Miami, making just 7-of-18 shots from the floor and only 8-of-16 from the free throw line.
In Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant had 38 points and Andrew Bynum contributed a career-high 28 and 12 rebounds for the Lakers, who snapped a five-game losing
streak by defeating the Phoenix Suns 122-115 at the Staples Center.
Derek Fisher had 15 of his 17 points in the first half and Lamar Odom had 14 and 14 rebounds as the Lakers recorded their first Christmas win since 2001.
