    TORONTO (NBA) - Shawn Marion gave Toronto immediate cause to celebrate following his arrival in a trade from Miami by leading the Raptors to victory over the New York Knicks.

    Marion, a USA Olympian in 2004, played 44 minutes in Sunday's game at the Air Canada Centre and had 16 points and 15 rebounds in the Raptors' 111-100 triumph over the Knicks.

    Team USA big man Chris Bosh had 12 boards to go with his 11 points and Spain's Jose Calderon scored 13 and dished out 11 assists as Toronto improved to 22-36.

    New York, who got 31 points from Al Harrington, slumped to 23-32.

    Miami lost to Orlando despite Dwyane Wade’s 50 points.

    Wade’s fellow USA Olympic gold-medal winner Dwight Howard poured in 32 and grabbed 17 rebounds as Orlando prevailed 122-99 at home.

    Turkey international Hedo Turkoglu weighed in with 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Magic (41-14).

    Orlando's newly-acquired point guard Rafer Alston from Houston also had 12 points and nine assists.

    The Heat, who received Jermaine O'Neal and Jamario Moon in the trade that sent Marion to Toronto, are now 29-26.

    Cleveland (43-11) maintained their lead in the Eastern Conference with a 99-78 victory over visiting Detroit (27-27).

    Team USA's LeBron James scored 20 points and handed out nine assists for the Cavs.

    Boston (45-12) kept pace with Cleveland after claiming a 128-108 victory at Phoenix (31-24).

    The Celtics, playing without Kevin Garnett who is out for up to three weeks with a knee injury, got 32 points from Rajon Rondo, 31 from Ray Allen and 26 from Paul Pierce.

    Phoenix have lost Amare Stoudemire to an eye injury for at least two months.

    They received 19 points and 11 assists from Canadian playmaker Steve Nash.

    At the Target Center in Minneapolis, the Los Angeles Lakers won an NBA-best 46th game with a 111-108 triumph over Minnesota.

    Kobe Bryant had 28 points while Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom scored 25 apiece.
