LOS ANGELES (NBA) - If Spain’s Pau Gasol dominated the show in Los Angeles’ Game One win over Denver, then Kobe Bryant of Team USA was the show on Wednesday for the Lakers.

Bryant torched the Nuggets for 49 points, including 19 in the final quarter, as the Lakers romped to a 122-107 triumph at the Staples Center.

Bryant was 18 of 27 from the field while Gasol, who had 36 in the Game One success, again came up big with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Luke Walton also chipped in 18 points for the Lakers, while Allen Iverson scored 31 in a losing effort for Denver.

That was the only Western Conference play-off game but there were two others in the East and both Boston and Detroit were winners.

Detroit, upset in Game One by Philadelphia, hit back to level the first-round series with a 105-88 triumph over Philadelphia.

Boston claimed a 2-0 lead in their series with Atlanta, thumping the Hawks 96-77.
