    LOS ANGELES (NBA) - Some of international basketball's biggest stars were in NBA action on Friday with Team USA's Olympic gold-medal winners Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade putting up big numbers for their respective sides.

    Bryant poured in 35 points and Pau Gasol of Spain had 14 along with seven rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks 114-107.

    Germany's Dirk Nowitzki poured in 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Mavs.

    Puerto Rico national team point guard JJ Barea scored 10 with nine assists for Dallas.

    Wade had 43 points as the Miami Heat defeated the Phoenix Suns 107-92.

    French rookie Nicolas Batum scored 12 points and swatted a couple of shots to help Portland defeat the visiting New Orleans Hornets 101-86.

    The Trail Blazers improved to 11-6 with the triumph.

    Mehmet Okur of Turkey had 20 points and 12 boards as Utah won 120-94 over Sacramento.

    France point guard Tony Parker looks to have recovered from his ankle injury.

    He came off the bench and scored 15 points, handed out seven assists and came up with a steal in just 16:33 for San Antonio in their 109-98 victory over Memphis.
