NEW YORK (USA) - A total of six regular season games over the next three years in the NBA will be played in the world class cities of Berlin, London, Manchester and Paris.
For the first time ever, Berlin will stage an NBA game when the Memphis Grizzlies take on the Orlando Magic on January 15, 2026.
That means two of the city's favorite sons, Germany's 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup-winning brothers Franz and Mo Wagner of the Magic, will take center stage at the Uber Arena, where Franz helped Germany claim a top three finish at FIBA EuroBasket 2022.
The Grizzlies and Magic will then meet at London's O2 Arena on January 18.
The NBA has also announced that games will be played in Paris and Manchester in 2027 and in Berlin and Paris in 2028.
Many of the league's top players over the years have hailed from Europe and a number of them have already committed to playing in the upcoming FIBA Eurobasket 2025 which will be played from AUgust 27 to September 14.
The first regular season matchups in Europe were held at London's O2 Arena in 2011, a pair of games between the New Jersey Nets and the Toronto Raptors.
