MIAMI (NBA) - Chris Bosh shot as well as he has all season for Miami on Sunday and fired the Heat past the Chicago Bulls in Game 3 of their NBA Eastern Conference Finals showdown.
Bosh made 13 of 18 field goals and led all scorers with 34 points as the Heat prevailed 96-85 to take a 2-1 advantage in the series.
"I try every game to come out aggressively," Bosh said.
"I missed some shots early.
"I thought they were good shots. Then I got to the free-throw line and got into a little bit of rhythm and then after that, I saw the ball go in one time and that was good enough for me."
LeBron James weighed in with 22 points and 10 assists and Dwyane Wade added 17 points and nine boards for Miami, who host Game 4 on Tuesday.
In the previous five years, the team that won Game 3 in the Eastern Conference Finals has gone on to win the series.
The last outfit to fall that won the third game, however, was the Heat.
In 2005, they beat Detroit but then lost the series in seven games.
Miami were not to be denied on Sunday, but there is a long way to go before they can begin to think about competing in the NBA Finals.
"I don't think it's ever a comfortable moment in the playoffs," Bosh said, "especially at home.
"We want to defend home-court advantage so bad.
"It's really important to win out at home...
"We just have to continue to stay strong and play good basketball when we're here."
