TORONTO (NBA) - Either Chris Bosh is doing his best Kobe Bryant imitation or Toronto's Team USA star is about to take his game to new heights.

Bosh followed up his 40-point explosion in a victory over the New York Knicks by pouring in 38 in Sunday's 116-109 double overtime victory over the in-form Portland Trail Blazers.

The 23-year-old was 15 of 27 from the floor and eight of 10 at the line. He also grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked three shots in 55 minutes.

Bosh did not play for the United States last summer in the run to the gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship because of injury, but he is likely to represent his country at the Beijing Olympics.

Teammate Jose Calderon, the Spain national team point guard, had 22 points and 10 assists in almost 54 minutes on the floor while Argentina's Carlos Delfino played nearly 45 off the bench and scored 16 while pulling down eight boards.

The Raptors improved to 20-17 while Portland dropped to 22-14.

The Los Angeles Lakers overcame 21 points and 18 rebounds by Pau Gasol to beat the Memphis Grizzlies, but lost young star center Andrew Bynum to a knee sprain.

Bynum is having an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Kobe Bryant scored 37 points for the Lakers, who won for the sixth straight game. They are now 25-11 while the Grizzlies are 10-27.

Golden State are 22-16 after defeating the Indiana Pacers 106-101, despite trailing by as many as 17 points.

The Pacers, who got 27 points from Jermaine O'Neal, are now 17-22.

The New York Knicks pulled off a surprise 89-65 win over the Detroit Pistons at Madison Square Garden.

Zach Randolph had 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the Knicks, who are 10-26 while the Pistons slipped to 28-10.

The Houston Rockets lost at home to the New Orleans Hornets, 87-82, as Team USA point guard Chris Paul scored 19 points and dished out 11 assists.

Paul also made four free throws in the last 15 seconds to seal the win for Byron Scott's team, who improved to 15-5 on the road and 25-12 overall.

    Houston dropped to 20-18.

In Sunday's other game, the Atlanta Hawks (16-17) piled on the misery for the Chicago Bulls (14-21), winning 105-84 in Georgia.

Joe Johnson, a leading player for the USA's bronze-medal winning team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, finished with a game-high 37 points for Atlanta.
