SACRAMENTO (NBA) - Ron Artest fired the Sacramento Kings to their 18th victory of the season on Tuesday with a 27-point performance against the New Jersey Nets.
Artest made 11 of his 16 shots from the floor - he connected on both shots from behind the three-point arc - as the Kings (18-22) romped to a 128-94 triumph.
Former Team USA guard Mike Bibby, who like Artest has just returned from injury, also had 15 points and seven assists.
Slovenia guard Beno Udrih, a summer signing from San Antonio, came off the bench and scored 14 points in less than 18 minutes for the Kings.
The Nets dropped to 18-23 on the campaign.
In Tuesday's other NBA game, Phoenix improved to a Western Conference-best 30-12 record with a 114-105 win at Milwaukee.
Steve Nash exploded for 37 points and also dished out 10 assists for the Suns while the Bucks, who slumped to 16-26, got 19 points and 13 rebounds from Australia's Andrew Bogut. Rookie Yi Jianlian of China weighed in with six points and three boards for Milwaukee.
