BOSTON (NBA) - Ray Allen had 30 points and drilled a game-winning three-pointer in the waning seconds to lift Boston to a 118-115 triumph over the Chicago Bulls.
The win has leveled the first-round Eastern Conference play-off series at 1-1.
Allen had scored just four points after a nightmarish one of 12 shooting effort in a Game 1 overtime defeat to the Bulls.
His three-ball just two seconds from the end proved to be the game-winner.
Chicago lost despite a 42-point eruption from Ben Gordon, who like Allen played college basketball at the University of Connecticut.
Boston's most important player on the night was the sensational Rajon Rondo, who finished with 19 points, 16 assists, 12 rebounds and five steals.
Boston, who are likely to be without Kevin Garnett for all of the play-offs because of a knee injury, will now travel to Chicago for the next two games on Thursday and Sunday.
In the Western Conference, San Antonio got back on level terms with the Dallas Mavericks after a 38-point explosion from France's Tony Parker.
The Spurs rolled to a 105-84 triumph with Parker pouring in 27 of his points in the first half.
The series now shifts to Dallas for the next two games.
