MEXICO CITY (LNBP) - Algodoneros, Halcones Xalapa and Halcones Cordoba all remain unbeaten four games into the Mexican LNBP and lead their respective pools.
The second week of action saw Algodoneros go top on their own in the Northern Division as Blake Walker scored 29 points and Lee Cook added 26 to help them beat Fuerza Regia 99-89 on Monday night.
Walker was also his team's leading scorer (27 points) in the 96-86 win over Lobos on Thursday.
Dorados, Santos Reales and Lobos Grises are next in the league with 3-1 marks.
Dorados' first defeat occurred on Thursday when Fuerza Regia beat them 99-94 with Gerald Williams pouring in 32 points and Sun Ming Ming weighing in with nine.
Santos Reales saw-off Barreteros 99-79 as Mark Borders collected 21 points, but they lost 95-81 on their visit to Lobos Grises.
In the Southern Division, Halcones Xalapa and Halcones Cordoba are both undefeated.
Halcones Xalapa saw-off Leon-based Lechugueros 94-82 last Thursday, with Omar Lopez netting 20 points.
On Saturday, Grez Plummer top-scored with 26 points as they hammered Panteras 120-93.
Halcones Cordoba edged Pioneros 106-98 on Sunday with Hector Ibanez Bautista scoring 20 while Halcones Rojos thrashed Panteras 82-55, but then lost 82-79 at home against Lechugueros.
Tecos beat Zacatecas-based Mayas 86-78 and Bucaneros 73-68 in their two games.
