    MEXICALI (LNBP) - Soles de Mexicali didn't have it all their way in the North Zone Final series against Tecos UAG but finally clinched a 4-2 triumph on Thursday to advance to the Mexican championship.

    Greg Lewis scored 22 points, Anthony Pedroza 21 and Horacio Llamas 20 as Soles prevailed 95-88 in Game 6.

    Soles will now take on rivals Halcones Xalapa in the LNBP Final series, which tips off on Monday, March 9.

    Tecos were on the verge of forcing a deciding Game 7 but fell apart in the last quarter.

    Leading 74-67 heading into the final frame, Tecos were outscored 28-14 the rest of the way.

    The go-ahead basket for Soles was scored by James Penny with 2:17 remaining to make it 87-85.

    That started at 7-0 run that Tecos never recovered from.

    Christopher Jeffries poured in a game-high 24 points for Tecos, who also got 21 from Clarence Mathews.
