MEX - New job for Vecchio

ZACATECAS (LNBP) - Former Argentina boss Guillermo Vecchio has been named as the new coach of Mexican side Union Zacatecas for the remainder of the LNBP season.

The 46-year-old led Panama to 19th place at the FIBA World Championship in Japan last year and the gold medal in the Centrobasket championship.

He also worked as the Detroit Pistons' scouting director in Latin America.

Vecchio coached Argentina in the 1994 FIBA World Championship in Toronto.
