    MEX – National Teams Touring Mexican Soil

    CIUDAD VICTORIA (FIBA Americas Championship) – From August 15th to the 19th, Team Uruguay and Team Mexico will be active in a series of exhibition games throughout Mexican soil, as they get ready for the FIBA Americas Championship 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada, from August 22 to September 2.

    Team Uruguay will be facing four teams from the Mexico’s National Basketball League: the Veracruz’s Halcones Rojos, Puebla’s Angeles, Leon’s Lechugueros, and Tecos’ UAG.

    Meanwhile, Team Mexico will be facing Argentina’s national champion, Boca Juniors, in a two-game series. Those games will be part of a series of game for Boca against some NBL’s teams in Mexico. Facing Boca Juniors will be: Halcones Rojos, Autonomous University of Durango’s Lobos Grises, and Comarca’s Algodoneros.

    There is great expectation mainly caused by the possible addition to Team Uruguay’s roster of Esteban Batista, who plays for the Atlanta Haks in the NBA.

    Team Uruguay games’ schedule:

    On Aug. 15, the will be facing the Halcones Rojos in Veracruz, at the Benito Juarez Auditórium; again, on August 16, at the Miguel Hidalgo Angeles Arena, in Pueblo; on the 18th, at the Domo de la Feria Arena, in Leonen, against the Lechugueros; and, finally, on the 19th, at the University Gym, they will be facing Tecos UAG in Guadalajara.

    Team Mexico games’ schedule:

    Team Mexico will face Boca on August 17, at the Juan de la Barrera Arena, in Mexico’s Federal District; and on August 19th, at the Miguel Hidalgo Arena in Puebla.
