    CANCUN (2009 FIBA Americas Championship) - New Jersey Nets forward, Eduardo Najera, reported to the Mexican national team, doing physical work as he wants to play in the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship.

    The NBA player trained for 45 minutes, stretching out and working on the abdomen, area that he injured during the season. He hopes to receive permission to play in the FIBA Americas Championship.

    Mexico is active in the COCABA Championship played in Cancun. The twelve who are representing Mexico are: Karim Malpica, Jesús López, Anthony Pedroza, Horacio Llamas, Arim Solares, Romel Beck, Miguel Ayala, Omar Quintero, Noe Alonzo, Enrique Zuñiga, Gustavo Ayón and Hugo Carrillo.

    Mexico is in Group A of the FIBA Americas Championship along with Canada, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Uruguay.
