    MEXICALI (LNBP) - Halcones Xalapa and Lobos Grises remain joint-top of the Mexican LNBP table with two wins at the weekend seeing both move onto 23-5 campaigns.

    On Friday, Halcones claimed an 89-86 away win over Galgos in Tijuana before travelling to Mexicali to defeat Soles 95-81.

    Samuel Bowie and Victor Mariscal netted 21 points for the victors in the 28th-round game.

    Meanwhile, Durango-based Lobos Grises hammered Pioneros 107-88 on Friday before overcoming Guerreros 109-94 with 22 points from Myron Allen and Noe Alonzo. Mugabe Thomas top-scored with 41 in a losing cause.

    Santos Reales have registered 20 wins and eight defeats to lie third in the overall table and second in the Northern Zone, below Lobos Grises.

    In San Luis Potosi, Daniel Frola's side edged Tecos 86-80 with 34 points by Nicholas Zachary, but they let the leaders pull further ahead in the table on Saturday when they lost 100-97 to Caballeros.

    The second-placed side in the Southern Zone are Halcones Cordoba, whose 16-12 campaign places them in eighth spot in the overall table.

    Sunday's game saw Halcones hit Coahuila-based Lobos 135-118. Demetric Shaw led the way with 43 points, while Dallas Logan added 27 and Michael Smith 26.

    On Friday, Halcones Cordoba lost 129-123 at Fuerza Regia, who lie fifth in the overall standings. But on Sunday, the Monterrey-based side thrashed Angeles 109-79 to record 18 wins and 10 defeats.

    In Chihuahua, Dorados defeated Lechugueros 78-67 and Panteras 85-67 to collect 19 wins in 28 games and be third in Northern Zone and fourth in overall table.
