MADRID (ACB) - Mexico international center Gustavo Ayon is to make his ACB debut with Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada earlier than expected.

Ayon, who only recently travelled to Spain to launch his European career after leading Halcones Xalapa to a second consecutive Mexican LNBP title, will be in the Fuenlabrada squad after the club reached an agreement with Puerto Rico center Peter John Ramos to end his contract.

Ramos wanted to return home to play for Puerto Rican outfit Quebradillas in the BSN league, which is now underway.

Ayon, a 24-year-old center, will attempt to help ninth-place Fuenlabrada book a spot in the ACB post-season. They take on Cajasol Sevilla on Saturday.

Only the leading eight teams by the end of the regular season will go to the play-offs.

Ayon will represent Mexico this summer when they host the FIBA Americas Championship and attempt to earn a spot at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
