CANCUN (FIBA Americas/Player’s Agents) – As part of the certification process for Players’ Agents currently undertaken by FIBA throughout the world, and for the second time in the Americas, a test will be conducted on October 18, 2008 in Cancun, Mexico.
After successful tests held in Europe and Oceania, FIBA now wants to regulate those agents currently working in the Americas, with the purpose of securing that they comply with the regulations governing the relationship between agent – player – clubs.
Since January, 2009 all players transferences must include the agents license number certified by FIBA.
The FIBA Player’s Agent test is open to every person wishing to act as an agent and it is the preliminary step of the process to qualify for the certification.
The test consists of a choice of 25 multiple-answer questions, and in order to succeed, the candidates need to have 18 correct answers. All the questions are based on the FIBA Internal Regulations, Rules H 1-2-3 &5, regarding the Players’ Agent and Eligibility of Players. The test is only available in English.
The Second Test Certification will be on October 18, 2008. The test will be at the Radisson Hacienda Cancun, in Cancun, Mexico. Present in the event will be Mr. Zoran Radovic, Development Director for FIBA
FIBA – Americas and the Argentinean Basketball Confederation invite every Player’s Agent to comply with this requirement established in 2006, as part of the regulations of FIBA.
