BELGRADE (EuroBasket Women 2015) - Serbia head coach Marina Maljkovic has expressed her satisfaction with the early stages of her team's preparations for EuroBasket Women 2015 after sharing success against neighbours Montenegro in back-to-back friendly games.

The play-caller watched her side bounce back from a 61-56 loss in the opening encounter in Zlatibor to collect a 73-66 victory in the second contest.

"The first part of the preparation has been very good and especially the approach of the players to the training conditions and the matches with Montenegro," she confirmed.

    "Everything now takes its course.

"Slowly we will recognise what we can do and on which segments are the ones that we most need to concentrate on.

"We have now played two warm-up matches with our friends from Montenegro and they are a very uncomfortable opponent.

"That's because they're playing hard and aggressive basketball, just like us.

"I hope that both sides realise the best possible results at EuroBasket Women," concluded Maljkovic.

Serbia are in the process of heading to France and specifically Lyon, where they will lock horns with the Slovak Republic, Great Britain and the hosts later this week.

Meanwhile from a Montenegro perspective, center Iva Perovanovic showed why she is going to be a handful under the hoop again and one of her country's main contributors.

She corralled 32 points across both warm-up games - including a double-double in the first after amassing 11 rebounds.
