VILNIUS (Olympics) - Arvydas Macijauskas will not return to the Lithuania line-up this summer after pulling out of the pre-Olympic squad because of a troublesome back injury.

The shooting guard, who averaged nearly 16 points per game on the Lithuania team that won the 2003 EuroBasket gold medal, last played for his country two years ago at the FIBA World Championship in Japan.

Lithuania have also announced that Arturas Jomantas and Renaldas Seibutis have also withdrawn due to health problems.

Seibutis was the MVP of Lithuania’s gold medal win at the FIBA U21 World Championship in Argentina three years ago.

Zalgiris Kaunas guard Arturas Milaknis and Lietuvos Rytas small forward Steponas Babrauskas have been added to the preliminary squad that will start its training camp in Palanga on June 20.
