DRUSKININKUOSE (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Lithuania will go into battle this summer at the FIBA World Championship without the Lavrinovic brothers and Arturas Jomantas.
Injuries have prevented power forwards/centers Darjus and Ksystof Lavrinovic, and guard Jomantas, from joining the national team at their training camp.
Martynas Andriuskevicius, the 2.16m center who plays for Meridiano Alicante in Spain's ACB, is in the squad.
The former NBA draft pick is just back in Lithuania after travelling with a reserve team to Britain where they won two friendly games against England at the University of Worcester.
Andriuskevicius had 14 points and eight rebounds in a 92-78 victory in the second contest.
The 24-year-old, who averaged almost nine points and five rebounds in 18 minutes per game this season for Alicante, was not expected to continue working out with the national side but has been included.
Lithuania coach Kestutis Kemzura said: "The team had only one real man in the middle - Robertas Javtokas.
"We did not want a lack of height, while Andriuskevicius appears to have been a good with the reserves in England."
At the FIBA World Championship in Turkey, Lithuania, who received a wild card to take part in the 24-team event, will compete in Group D against France, Spain, Lebanon, Canada and New Zealand.
The tournament tips off on August 28.
Lithuania squad ahead of trip to China: Giedrius Gustas, Mantas Kalnietis, Martynas Gecevicius, Tomas Delininkaitis, Martynas Pocius, Mindaugas Lukauskis, Renaldas Seibutis, Simas Jasaitis, Jonas Maciulis, Linas Kleiza, Paulius Jankunas, Mindaugas Katelynas, Tadas Klimavicius, Donatas Motiejunas, Martynas Andriuskevicius and Robertas Javtokas.
