A CORUNA (Olympics) – Lithuania have been brushing aside the competition in the build-up to the Olympics.

At the Torneo Ciudad De La Coruña on Monday, Linas Kleiza erupted for 24 points in a 90-61 mauling of Portugal.

Prior to that triumph, Ramunas Butautus’ team had thrashed Belarus 113-57 and followed that up with two more triumphs over Iceland in which the Baltic giants surpassed the century mark.

Lithuania won 115-62 on July 13 and two days later romped to a 105-67 triumph.

Next up for Lithuania, last year’s bronze medal winners at the EuroBasket, is a warm-up game against Spain at the Torneo Orense on Thursday.

On Friday, Lithuania take on Argentina.

Lithuania are in Group A at the Olympics with Australia, Russia, Iran, Croatia and Argentina.
