VILNIUS (LKL) - Lietuvos Rytas are back in the driving seat of the Lithuanian LKL play-off finals after beating Zalgiris Kaunas in Game 5, 89-75.

Kenan Bajramovic scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the winners.

In a series featuring several players that have been named in the Lithuania preliminary squad for the FIBA World Championship, Lietuvos Rytas will now go for the knockout punch in Game 6 but their coach Rimas Kurtinaitis said: "We know it's going to be tough in Kaunas."

It’s been a bizarre series because Zalgiris have been playing without a coach since club owner Vladimir Romanov’s unexpected firing of Darius Maskoliunas after Game 3.

Martynas Pocius, one of the Zalgiris players that has been named in the Lithuania squad, said: "It's harder to play without a coach, but I don't want to get into this topic.

"We're just trying to play without taking the current situation into our heads, we're preparing just like we've done throughout the season."

    Game 6 is on Thursday.
