The 28-YEAR-OLD point guard will have to battle back from an early season injury if he is to make an impact for Lietuvos Rytas.

Johnson, in his team’s 83-56 demolition of Naglis Palanga on Wednesday night, suffered a partial tear of his Achilles tendon and will be sidelined for at least six weeks, the club has announced.

Lietuvos Rytas have won three games in the Lithuania’s domestic league but much harder games are coming up in the Euroleague.

Their first game in Europe will be on October 20 at Fenerbahce Ulker.

Zalgiris Kaunas, meanwhile, annihilated Techasas 115-51 on Wednesday to improve to 5-1 in the LKL.
