    Veteran Liu back with China squad

    BEIJING (2015 FIBA Asia Championship) - Veteran point guard Liu Wei is set for a return to China's squad for the FIBA Asia Championship.

    Liu, who first represented his homeland at a major tournament in 2002 at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Indianapolis, is in the latest squad announced by the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

    The 25-year-old last represented his country at a big event at the 2012 London Olympics, where the Far East giants lost all five of their games and finished 12th.

    Yi Jianlian, Guo Ailun, Zhou Peng and Wang Zhelin, four players who featured for China at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, are again included in the team.

    Yi, China's former NBA player, led the team with an average of 17.4 points per game two years ago in Manila.

    China are hosting the FIBA Asia Championship in Changsha from 23 September-3 October.

    They will play in Group C with Korea, Singapore and Jordan.

    China final roster for 2015 FIBA Asia Championship: Zhao Jiwei, Liu Wei, Guo Ailun, Zhao Tailong, Ding Yanyuhang, Zhai Xiaochuan, Yi Jianlian, Li Gen, Li Muhao, Wang Zhelin and Zhou Qi.
