At the Palacio Peñarol of Montevideo, Flamengo defeated Welcome (Uruguay) by 86-72 and then Libertad did the same against Goes (Uruguay) 85-60, to ensure their qualification.
Flamengo finished the preliminary group as leader with a 3-0 record, Sunchales finished second with a 2-1 record. In addition, Minas Tenis Clube (Brazil) also advanced to the next round as the best third place team among groups A, C and D.
Flamengo, Libertad and Minas joined Franca (Brazil), Instituto de Córdoba (Argentina), Olimpia (Paraguay), Quimsa (Argentina) and Baurú (Brazil), as the eight qualified teams of the Semi-Final Phase.
The DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018, in which the Horacio Muratore Cup is disputed, will resume in three weeks (on November 13) with the first group of the Semi-Final Phase.
