BEIRUT (FLB Divn. A League) - Six-time defending champions Al Riyadi Beirut rounded off their Final 8 engagements with an 83-78 away win over arch rivals Champville on Wednesday to secure the top seeding heading into the semi-final play-offs.
Riyadi, who are also fighting for supremacy in the WABA League – the date for Game 5 of their Final series against Syria’s Al Jala’a is yet to be confirmed – will take on three-time former FIBA Asia Champions Cup winners Sagesse in the FLB semi-finals.
As the top seed, Riyadi have home court advantage in the series which tips off on Sunday.
Champville, runners-up in last year's League and winners of this year's Lebanese Super Cup, take on Moutahed in the other semi-final starting on Tuesday. They host Game 1 and hold home court advantage.
The semi-finals are best-of-five affairs.
