    Latvia (men) and the United States (women) took headlines as the pool phase of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 came to a dramatic conclusion on Day 4.

    WARSAW (Poland) – The pool phase of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 came to a dramatic conclusion on Day 4 as the final Quarter-Final and Play-In spots were decided in Warsaw.

    Latvia (men) and the United States (women) took the headlines with scintillating performances on the day.

    TEAMS

    LATVIA (Men)

    Latvia came out swinging to close out pool action after splitting results in their first half of games on Day 2. They faced an ascending Czechia and handled business, coming away with a 21 - 15 victory. The Batman-Robin duo of Karlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis combined for 15 points to lead the way to victory.

    It was Mongolia next and the same result followed. A monstrous 12-point game from Karlis Lasmanis earned them a 21 - 12 victory, bookended by a thumping jam from Francis Lacis to earn Latvia a coveted spot into the World Cup Play-in where they'll face New Zealand.

    UNITED STATES (Women)

    USA showed renewed hunger on Day 1 where they swept past their competition to go perfect; Day 3 proved to be no different. They took on two sides that were in dire need of favorable results in Mongolia and Spain. Once again, USA showcased their offensive versatility and defensive grit by defeating Mongolia 20 - 17 before capping off the day with a 21 - 18 win over Spain. It was a collective scoring effort in their first game, but it was all Mikaylah Williams in the second where she put up 11 points to close out a statement victory over Spain to confirm their spot into the World Cup Quarter-Final.

    KARLIS LASMANIS (Latvia) Batman was feeling himself on Day 4. In Latvia's crucial games to secure a place into the World Cup Play-in, Karlis Lasmanis answered the call with two big-time performances to lead his side to a perfect 2-0 record on the day. He notched 7 points and 5 rebounds in their win over Czechia before pulling off a huge 12-point game against Mongolia to seal victory and a play-in berth.

    MIKAYLAH WILLIAMS (USA)

    Williams balled out for the USA in their perfect pool display on Day 4.

    While only notching a point and 4 rebounds in their first game of the day against Mongolia, she turned the heat up in their final pool game, going off for 11 points in a statement win over Spain. Williams has found her groove as they head into Quarter-Final action with momentum on their side.
