SEOUL (KBL) - Sonic Boom KT, who two rounds ago emerged as the KBL Regular Season champions for the first time in their history took their success to a new level by posting a record 41 win.
They themselves held the previous record for most number of wins in the Regular Season when they along with Mobis Phoebus won 40 games last year. Incidentally, Mobis went on to win the KBL Championship thereafter.
Sonic Boom, now enjoying the cushion of a bye in the Play-offs, await the winners of the quarterfinal clash between Dongbu Promy and LG Sakers.
Incheon ET Land Elephants - the number two team of the Regular Season - also ssailed directly into the semi-finals and will take on the winners of the quarter-finals between KCC Egis and Samsung Thunders.
Both the quarter-finals series are best-of-five affairs.
In games one of the quarter-finals, Dongbu host Sakers on Friday with KCC Egis hosting Samsung Thunders the following day.
