MILWAUKEE (NBA) - Ha Seung-Jin, the first Korean player in the NBA, was waived Saturday by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 7ft 3in Ha spent two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers before being acquired this summer in a trade. He played in just one preseason game, nursing a sprained left MCL.

Ha, 21, made history when he entered a Miami-Portland contest on January 7 2005, becoming the first Korean to play in the NBA.

He averaged 1.5 points and 6.9 minutes in 46 games with Portland.
