SEOUL (KBL) - Dongbu Promy moved further away from the top two positions after losing 59-68 to LG Sakers in a midweek KBL away game, as Sonic Boom KT and Incheon Elephants kept winning.
Sonic Boom lie above the Elephants on the leader board, but only by virtue of having played a game more.
Dongbu have a played a game less and therefore ahead of KCC Egis in the number three spot, with the two scheduled to meet in the next outing.
Guard Hyun-Soo Byun led Sakers’ all-round attack, which saw five players score in the double digits.
Byun was the highest scorer with 16 points and had 5 assists. Naturalized American Greg Stevenson and Ki Seung-ho scored 13 points each, the former also adding seven rebounds and three assists.
Han Jung-won had 12 points and TJ Cummings had 11.
American power forward Rod Benson posted the only double double of the game with 16 points and a dozen rebounds, but in vain for Dongbu.
Jin-Won Hwang added 13 points.
