Korea started the day by staying undefeated in an 87-59 win over Chinese Taipei. It was an important one for Korea as they were able to rest Jisu Park ahead of the Quarter-Finals with Danbi Kim (18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) and Jihyun Park (15 points, 11 rebounds) leading the way.

DPR Korea then got a 105-49 win over Thailand, massive not only in the margin of victory but also in the sense that it clinched them a spot in the Quarter-Finals and a Top 4 spot in the combined ranking. It was another big game from Jina Pak who had 36 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 blocks, but she also had plenty of help from Unjong Ri (31 points, 7 three-point shots made) and Sukyong Ro (15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists).
Japan engaged in a rematch from the recent FIBA Women's Asia Cup against the Philippines, resulting in a similar result 96-59. In Sydney, Japan also won 95-57. This game clinched Japan a top spot in Group B and a Top 4 spot in the combined ranking.

The other game in Group B saw Hong Kong, China get their first win 70-56 against Kazakhstan.
The day closed out with Group A action, starting with host China handing India their first loss 111-53. All players got on the scoreboard once again for China, led by Yueru Li who recorded a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Another important game of the day was between Indonesia and Mongolia, a rematch from the recent Women's Asia Cup Division B. Indonesia had won that encounter 69-52 in Bangkok, and succeeded in getting another win.

Mongolia had actually led most of the way for nearly 30 minutes of the game, but an 11-0 run late in the game by Indonesia put the game in Indonesia's favor. Just as she had done throughout the Women's Asia Cup Division B, Kim Pierre Louis dominated with 44 points, 14 rebounds and 4 steals. More importantly, this win clinched a spot in the Quarter-Finals for Indonesia, yet another positive step forward for the rising program.

A draw was later conducted to determine the pairing of the Quarter-Finals. Each of the teams ranked 1 to 4 according to the combined ranking will play against one of the teams ranked 5 to 8. Teams from the same group cannot play one another in the quarterfinals. The results of the draw were:
