The winners, who off loaded some of their key players days before this epic duel, stunned the pundits as they grabbed a lead that they never would let go of. Co-op trailed the rest of the way and managed to close in to one point but KCB were just too smart.
Tobias Onyango led the Lions charge with 20 points while David Otiso and Roy Kahure combined for an additional 15. For Co-op, Eugene Genga managed 16, Allan Ouma shot 10 and Salim Ali made 12.
Posta dispatched Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) 88-58. The mailmen, who had fallen 71-75 to International Christian Center (ICC) a week before, were on fire from the start never giving the Kakamega based students a breather.
