Kazakhstan excited for more joint efforts following successful referee clinic
BEIRUT (Lebanon)—The FIBA Regional Office-Asia continued their efforts to further improve game officiating after staging a referee clinic in Kazakhstan.
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - FIBA Regional Office Asia continued their efforts in further improving game officiating after staging a referees' clinic in Kazakhstan.
Held last September 5-7 in Almaty, 30 male and female participants took part in the program organized in partnership with the National Basketball Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBF Kazakhstan).

The 3-day clinic included several subjects from both a theoretical and practical perspective, including latest updates related to refereeing and official basketball rules.
Alexander Artyushikhin, the National Federation's head of referees, expressed his gratitude for the seminar, and hopes to have more collaborative efforts with the Regional Office in the future.
"The collegium of referees of the National Basketball Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan appreciates the efforts and would like to thank the Asia regional for conducting this clinic in our country. We look forward to further cooperation," he said.
NBF Kazakhstan President Abay Alpamyssov echoed such sentiments, and is looking forward as well to more partnerships with the Regional Office following the workshop's success.
"We would like to thank the Regional Office in Asia for the quality of the clinic," the amiable executive stated. "We are looking forward to more cooperation."
These workshops are part of the Regional Office’s continuous efforts to improve different departments of its national federations, including the referees, who are undeniably an integral part of basketball games.
