WARSAW (Poland) - Poland will not have its star forward Jeremy Sochan at FIBA EuroBasket 2025, the Polish Basketball Federation announced on Sunday. The 22-year-old forward will miss the home event, which Poland is co-hosting, due to a calf injury.

While not considered serious, the injury requires rest and rehabilitation, ruling Sochan out of action with less than three weeks until the tournament tips off.

Earlier this week, the player reported calf discomfort following a training session. Subsequent examinations determined he would not be able to recover in time to compete.

"We are very sorry that Jeremy's summer with the national team ends so soon," said National Team Director Lukasz Koszarek. "He is a valued member of our squad and has a great connection with the team."

Poland will host Group D action in Katowice, where they are set to face a challenging field that includes France, Slovenia, Israel, Belgium, and Iceland.
